Espot Esquí opens 6 new points this winter season, which are added to the 38 that are already operational: La Molina (4), Vall de Núria (14), Vallter (6), Port Ainé (4) and Boí Taüll (10).
The network will expand to 80 points during 2025.
Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) has completed the arrival of charging points for electric vehicles in all ski and mountain resorts with the entry into operation, this winter, of six new points in Espot Esquí. This is one of the novelties of the winter season that was explained to the Pallars Advisory Committee, held this Monday evening in Sort, and which was chaired by the president of FGC, Carles Ruiz Novella. This action is part of Ferrocarrils' sustainability strategy, included in the FGC Turisme 2030 Climate Action Plan.
Six electric vehicle charging points are entering service in Espot Esquí, four semi-fast 40 kW and two fast 120 kW. These are added to those already existing in La Molina (4), Vall de Núria (14), Vallter (6), Port Ainé (4) and Boí Taüll (10), currently offering an operational network of 44 points in all FGC Turisme resorts. This network will be expanded to 80 points during 2025.
With these operational charging points and those that will be put into service in the coming months, all of FGC Turisme's operations (ski and mountain resorts and tourist trains) will have a total of 114 points, 76 of which are semi-fast charging at 40 kW and 38 of which are fast charging at 120 kW.
Promotion of sustainable mobility
Promoting sustainable mobility is one of the lines of action of FGC Turisme's 2023 Climate Action Plan, which includes a set of measures to reduce the environmental impact of the company's activities. The plan develops Ferrocarrils' corporate strategy, which has identified climate change and the preservation of natural capital as some of the main challenges facing 2030 and the principle of sustainability as one of the company's four strategic axes.
